Users
Users are people who have created an account. Compared to someone who has not made an account, they can also:
- Purge the site cache for a page without confirmation

Autoconfirmed users
Autoconfirmed users are users who have also confirmed that they have a valid email set if their preferences. Compared to someone who has not confirmed their email, they can also:
- Create pages
- Edit pages
- Upload files
- Move pages and files
- Overwrite existing files
- Send email to other users
Bots
Bots are automated programs that constructively edit the wiki. A list of bots on this wiki can be found here. Compared to an autoconfirmed user, they can also:
- Be treated as a bot
- Have edits automatically marked as patrolled
- Not create redirects when moving pages
- Not have minor edits to talk pages trigger the new messages prompt
- Perform CAPTCHA-triggering actions without having to go through the CAPTCHA

Administrators
Administrators are higher-ranking users that have additional powers. They are also known as admins or sysops. A user can be promoted to an administrator by a bureaucrat. Compared to an autoconfirmed user, they can also:
- Block users
- Block other users from editing
- Block users from sending email
- Unblock themselves
- Protect pages and change protection levels
- Edit protected pages
- Delete pages
- Undelete a page
- Delete pages with large histories
- Delete and undelete specific revisions of pages
- Search through deleted pages
- View deleted history entries, text, and changes between deleted revisions
- Edit the user interface
- Mark others' edits as patrolled
- Have edits automatically marked as patrolled
- Import pages
- Not create redirects when moving pages
- Perform CAPTCHA-triggering actions without having to go through the CAPTCHA
- Quickly rollback the edits of the last user who edited a particular page
- View a list of unwatched pages
