Access to edit front page?

Seems like I don't have access to edit the front page, however updates are needed, such as the compatible devices box and the latest version ones. --JarlPenguin (talk) 23:44, 20 August 2018 (MDT)

These should be updated:

Size 95.4 MB/25 MB

Language English

Software iOS 8.0 or later/Android 3.1 or higher

Hardware iPhone 4S or later, iPod touch 5th gen or later, iPad 2nd gen or later, all iPad Air/Mini models / Compatible devices

or something similar. --JarlPenguin (talk) 00:04, 21 August 2018 (MDT)

Same with the Updates, news, and events box, along with the Latest version box at the top. --JarlPenguin (talk) 00:08, 21 August 2018 (MDT)

Welcome

If you're cleaning up and expanding articles, removing inconsistencies, and other positive things for the wiki, I for one don't care how often your name appears on the updates. --McClaw (talk) 09:02, 16 April 2013 (MDT)

40-pixel images

Ouch! And here I thought I was doing a good thing when I discovered I could get larger images of blocks and storage slots off my iPhone 5. --McClaw (talk) 08:26, 21 April 2013 (MDT)

Generally, the quality is still the same. All except for blocks. Blocks, I believe are actually displayed with higher resolution on those devices. Can you imagine how large an iPad 3/4 would give you? --Abcboy (talk) 17:37, 21 April 2013 (MDT)
Well, non-slots (placed blocks and such) don't have the 40px limit anyway. And I can get those up to 160px off an iPhone 5. (My iPad is a 1, but good for broad views.) Let me see what I can do about the icons you're missing/have trouble getting. (I believe I can arrange for 40px versions of all of them on your list tonight except "Workbench" because it has two levels.) Although I'll be offering them as PNG, not JPG. There seems to be an issue with the dark edges with JPGs. --McClaw (talk) 21:49, 21 April 2013 (MDT)
Icons loaded and tacked to your list so you can place them as you wish. "Workbench" is "Workbench 1 Icon" because that's what's on the Portal crafting menu, but we might want to do some animated icons for items that have multiple forms like that. --McClaw (talk) 08:32, 22 April 2013 (MDT)
The list is actually for items with jpeg images that should be pngs, so no worries! (jpgs leave artifacts and other distortions on images. Not good.) Go ahead and get those 160px ones and upload those over the icon bigs I uploaded yesterday. If/When you have time, can you get icons for all the upgraded benches? I'll finish up everything when I get home/have time. --Abcboy (talk) 12:06, 22 April 2013 (MDT)
(We may be talking past each other a bit.) I can get inventory slots and menu icons at up to 80px, some of which you've already replaced with 40px for non-color reasons (such as Shark Jaw Icon.png.) The 160px is for blocks on the main display. I might be able to do better with a "camera," now that I know how to use one. But I'll see what I can do. --McClaw (talk) 12:37, 22 April 2013 (MDT)
Oh, so that's what you meant. Anyway, all inventory slots and menu icon icons could be at 80px; it shouldn't take too long, since all besides the blocks (which are already uploaded at File:(block name) Icon Big.png) are able to be scaled up without a loss of quality. The original block images should just be uploaded over with the big ones and the current big ones marked for deletion. --Abcboy (talk) 14:42, 22 April 2013 (MDT)
I got a "back wall" window at almost 300px using the camera on an iPad 1. Getting upgraded block faces would seem an interesting project. With images already in use, I'm not going to rush putting larger ones out, though. --McClaw (talk) 15:17, 22 April 2013 (MDT)
You've got some of the 40-pixel "HD icon" images labeled with a "Badimage" comment, others (submitted by others, usually) don't have that. Should I bother making 80-pixel versions for any of those? --McClaw (talk) 09:09, 23 March 2014 (MDT)
Yeah, please do. I considered it kind of rude to tell them to label their own images with Badimage, and it wasn't really a high priority for me to go and label them. In any case, just try and replace them all. --Abcboy (talk) 10:51, 23 March 2014 (MDT)
Replacement is proceeding apace (mostly because the menu and inventory icons are the same, that and I'm doing some world reorganizing so I've got "stuff to go through"). All icons that are still 40x40 should have the Badimage tag. I'm mostly concerned about the ones that can't be found on menus: the ice armors, basalt, shark bucket, and time crystal are what remain. I can do time crystal with a green background, but will have to work on making one with blue. --McClaw (talk) 15:54, 30 March 2014 (MDT)

re: Very opinionated doesn't belong in a wiki.

I concede that I should have worded it differently to sound less opinionated but I have done the math and the information I posted was my logical conclusion.

I understand. Can you post here why the effort and materials are not worth the time? Also, please sign your posts using ~~~~. --Abcboy (talk) 14:41, 31 May 2013 (MDT)

Japanese version

But is suddenly, Can I make a Japanese version of the page in this wiki?

For example:Main_Page→Main_Page/ja

I am happy if you can consider. - Barrel0116 (talk) 03:23, 21 January 2014 (MST)

Who is the audience? Is it for Japanese people to navigate easier around the wiki? There are also ways to set up wiki-families. (link, partially in Japanese) I think a wiki family would serve our purposes best. Also, who are you on the Blockheads Japan Wiki? --Abcboy (talk) 08:38, 21 January 2014 (MST)
Can I make a Interlanguage links and This Wiki? - Barrel0116 (talk) 23:50, 21 February 2014 (MST)
I can't do that, you'll have to ask MintYogi. --Abcboy (talk) 10:25, 22 February 2014 (MST)
There is no reply from MintYogi. --Barrel0116 (talk) 07:02, 25 July 2014 (MDT)
Try emailing him. --Abcboy (talk) 09:19, 25 July 2014 (MDT)

Can we get permission for this image?

In an online article, this image was used to depict a section of a typical world. It would probably be appropriate in this wiki for both the world and cave pages. Who might we need to get permission from? --McClaw (talk) 08:36, 25 February 2014 (MST)

The blog post's author is David Frampton, aka the developer of The Blockheads. --Abcboy (talk) 14:23, 25 February 2014 (MST)

Thank You

I made the gif of Dodo Meat, but not in the correct time. Thank you --‎Lucas11925

You're welcome. I'd recommend just staying with the still images on pages like Items. The animated images have to be very precise. --Abcboy (talk) 15:27, 16 March 2014 (MDT)

thx

I want to say thx for sending me the messages that say what i have to do This is my first account ever on a wiki so i don't rally know what to do. Titanium Ore Question

Do you know on between which hight titanium ore spaws, because I just can't find it. Kairobin17 (talk) 09:06, 2 December 2014 (MST)

I found some in an already-exposed section. It was rather deep, probably as deep as gold. (Oddly, I found platinum along the same shaft but at a much shallower depth.) I remember comments that both are rather rare, something like 1:1,000. --McClaw (talk) 10:20, 2 December 2014 (MST)
Oke thanks, because after I posted this question I found Titanium ore at almost the surface. And then I mined it with a ruby pickaxe so i got 15 titanium ore out of it. Kairobin17 (talk) 08:10, 3 December 2014 (MST)
I found some near the surface, too. Strange. --McClaw (talk) 12:31, 3 December 2014 (MST)

iOS Version 1.6.1 as of 11/30/2015

What's New in Version 1.6.1
CUSTOM RULES UPDATE! You wanted creative mode? Well this is better! You now have the power to configure the way your world works, from super easy infinite health and everything free at trade portals, to instant-death in a red desert wasteland.
To keep things fair, if you choose to enable custom rules then you can't craft or use portal chests, there are no time crystal blocks to mine, and trades at trade portals do not influence the global economy. However, in your custom rules single player world, or as a server owner/admin you get a large number of customizations, both in how your world is generated, and in the game rules that apply to everyone in your world.
You can make everything at trade portals free, or disable them entirely. You can stop clothing from decaying, you can make the world protected, like it is covered by one giant ownership sign. You can speed up time, change the color of the sun, make blockheads always happy, or sad, hungrier or full, healthy or weak. You can even configure what new blockheads will spawn with, and make them die when a player exits the world, amongst many other options.
You can either create a new custom rules world, or migrate your existing worlds. So get started on your custom rules world today!
