I noticed something interesting -- gems (at least amethysts) can be placed similarly to ladders, lanterns, and torches. Just put one on a "back wall" for storage or a little decoration. --McClaw (talk) 21:40, 25 February 2013 (MST)

Interesting. Maybe add this as a "Note" on each of the gem pages. Might be very useful. I may have to use this tactic and place one above the chest where I store all my gems.
