Using
Like other crafting surfaces, a workbench must be placed on top of, next to, or below a solid block, on backwall, on top of, next to, or below another bench or chest, before it can be used.
Tapping on a workbench gives two options: Remove and Workbench.
Remove causes the selected blockhead to move to the workbench and place it in his/her inventory.
Workbench opens the crafting menu, showing a left-right scrollable list of icons. See Crafting for details about how to use the menu. Tapping the "Craft" button (if visible) will add the task to the selected blockhead's queue.
Tapping outside of the menu will close the workbench menu with no action taken.
Notes
In version 1.3, the metalwork bench was added.
In version 1.4, the shop was moved to the workbench from the woodwork bench. The armor bench and train yard were also added. All electric items currently available at level 4 were added in version 1.4 as part of level 3, along with the addition of that level itself.
In version 1.5, all items previously crafted at level 3 were moved to the new level 4, as well as its appearance. The easel and stonemason's bench were added to level 2. The new level 3 contains the shop, armor bench, train yard, metalwork bench, mixing bench, and dye bench, all of which were moved from level 2.
In version 1.6, the compost bin, electric press, electric sluice, and refinery were added.
In version 1.7, the pizza oven and egg extractor were added, and the train yard was relocated on the menu.
