Wheat is a type of grain harvested from only one plant: the wheat stalk.

Appearance

Wheat looks like a yellow stem with small yellow leaves branching out from the main stem.

Where Found

There are two natural sources of wheat. It's also available from a trade portal or meditation.

It grows naturally as wheat stalks, dropping a single piece of wheat when changing from ripe to unripe or when harvested while unripe or without the proper tool. If harvested using a machete or spade while mature, it will drop multiple pieces.

The other environmental source is the yak. When a yak dies naturally or from being killed, it may drop wheat.

Wheat pieces are random products of wheat stalks that grow seasonally and are harvested by hand or machete or spade for maximum yield. Agriculturally, the wheat can be placed in a block of dirt or compost to grow a wheat stalk for farming additional wheat pieces. See wheat stalk for more harvesting details.

Crafting

Wheat can be used to craft flour at a level 2 press or its electric variant.
