Talk:Expert Mode
From The Blockheads Wiki
Now that we have a page for Expert Mode, let's start discussing how to best incorporate the information about it into the wiki.
Let me first say that I see several ways to do it.
- Obviously the information could be added to the existing pages. The problem is that for pages with extensive crafting information, it could double (or more) the page size.
- Expert Mode pages could be added alongside existing ones, categorized and named as such. This would nearly double the number of pages in the wiki, and we'd have to decide how to differentiate the pages beyond categories.
- It is conceivable that sub-pages (e.g. "Water/Expert") could be made for each page to give Expert Mode information. This becomes a bit complicated unless every page gets an Expert sub-page, doubling the number of pages and creating a parallel wiki.
- A single "Expert" folder could be made, basically creating a sub-wiki for Expert Mode and again doubling the number of pages.
- Some combination of two or more of the above could be employed (e.g. add to existing pages when practical, create parallel or sub-pages otherwise).
Any other thoughts? Preferences? --McClaw (talk) 17:04, 16 November 2018 (CST)
- Suggestion: new pages for the crafting tables(since they have different upgrade routes and some are made at different places (e.g portal)), and a section under all other Items. —Niaraeth
- Hmm. How about adding an "Expert Mode" section to the affected pages, and adding an "(item) Expert" page for those that have a lot of crafting tables (both crafting surfaces and much-used items)? The extra page would be linked from the Expert section in the main page. --McClaw (talk) 04:08, 5 January 2020 (UTC)
- I can agree on that. Well, almost every item that is crafted is actually affected, beside the dye/color/paintings. How about I make a list below (in some due time) and let's see if it needs an extra page? -Niaraeth
