Maple trees are large [[Tree|trees]] that can be found throughout the Blockheads [[World|world]]. They can be found both naturally or be grown on [[Dirt|dirt]] or [[Compost|compost]].

Maple trees are easily recognizable. They have long dark brown barked trunks with heavy dark green [[Leaves|leaves]]. As the seasons change, the color of the leaves on a maple tree will change to reflect the appropriate season. Maple trees are one of the most dynamically colorful [[Tree|trees]] in the game. Some trunk blocks will have leaves overlaying them, but they are still part of the trunk. Maple trees may have [[Maple Seed|maple seeds]] on their leaves.  

Maple trees occasionally will produce [[Maple Seed|maple seeds]] from its leaves. Maple seeds are harvested by hand and can be collected by passing through their space or when adjacent to the [[Maple Seed|maple seed]] after it was tapped on. They do not require nor do they benefit from using any particular [[Items#Tools|tools]]. Agriculturally, maple seeds can be placed in a block of [[Dirt|dirt]] or [[Compost|compost]] to grow a maple tree for [[Farming|farming]] additional maple seeds or tree resources.

[[Stick]]s may be harvested from the tree's leaves. Using a [[Machete|machete]] will produce quicker results with a larger yield than by hand.

[[Wood]] may be also harvested from the tree's trunk. Doing so will despawn any leaves or trunk blocks on the same layer or above. For harvesting wood, using an [[Axe|axe]] will produce quicker results and a larger yield than by hand.

Maple trees die similarly to other trees. When a maple tree dies, the tree will despawn and, on occasion, will leave behind [[Stick|sticks]], [[Wood|wood]], or [[Maple Seed|maple seeds]] on the ground.
