You can use it to make a level 3 furnace which is used to make [[Gold Ingots]], from there you can use it to make to make a level 6 [[Tool Bench]] or [[Gold Block]]s. An unharvested deposit of gold is bright yellow in color with the same pattern as most other ores. When using the HD textures, it resembles [[coal]] more than other ores.
