Mountain
Mountainous regions rise abruptly from the surrounding terrain. They have stone interiors and the largest ones have stone exteriors. Some mountains contain caves.
Climbing to the top of the tallest mountain of a world gives the "Mountaineer" achievement. As the altitude increases, the temperature decreases and becomes colder, making snow more likely to occur than rain.
The presence of a mountain on the surface may indicate a rise in the level of magma or the frequency of various ores beneath it. Lapis lazuli has been found to be more likely to be found in mountains.
Appearance
A mountain can be made of up any combination of blocks including sand, stone, dirt, limestone, marble and more. A mountain usually has a fairly sharp increase of height ranging from 50 to 150 blocks, at about a rate of increase of two or three blocks vertically per block horizontally.
