Sunflower seeds are a renewable resource food item that can be planted, consumed, or used in crafting. When consumed, it restores health and hunger to a blockhead.

Appearance

Sunflower seeds appear small and oval-like with a grayish/black hull.

Where Found

Sunflower seeds are found growing on sunflowers located in nearly all warm biome regions.

Farming

Sunflower seeds grow seasonally on sunflowers and are harvested by hand or by machete for maximum yield. If the sunflower is not harvested after a period of time, the sunflower will drop sunflower seeds before beginning a new growing cycle. Agriculturally, sunflower seeds can be placed in a block of dirt or compost to grow a sunflower for farming additional sunflower seeds.

Crafting

Sunflower seeds can be used to craft oil at a press.
