An electric furnace requires electricity to function.

Notes

Crafting steel on an electric furnace requires only one coal, half what's needed using a regular furnace.

The first time a player makes a Blockhead craft pig iron (which can only be done at an electric furnace), the player earns the achievement "Pig Iron."
