Template:Block Infobox Golden Chests are spawned as part of generating a new world and were added in the 1.3 update.
They can initially contain copper coins, gold coins, copper ingots, iron ingots, gold ingots, and gems. Specific gem(s) and quantity of any item is randomly determined.
Where Found
Golden chests are created only on the generation of a new world. They are located randomly underneath sand or sometimes dirt, just above stone
Use
Aside from the content they are created with, golden chests function just as crafted chests -- but yellow. They can be relocated, filled, carried, nested, and stacked with other golden chests.
