<!-- Okay, so what does a train station actually do? I assume it allows the use of a steam locomotive and the two cars. -->
A [[Steam Locomotive|steam locomotive]] will stop at a train station instead of passing by. This will only happen if the game detects a train station when the train is boarded.

"All aboard!"

Train Stations are a rail component.

Appearance

A train station is a three block wide and two block tall open structure. A wooden pole rises on either end, supporting a crossbar that reads "Train Station" over a wooden platform and three sections of rail.

Where Found

Train stations must be made on a train yard.

Use

When placing a train station, tap the center of the three spaces it will fill; no rails can be adjacent to it, and all three must be the open tops of solid blocks. All three must also have the space above them open. It is not known if it has purposes other than decoration.

Tapping on a train station brings up a menu with options to remove or use. Using the station displays a text editing box. This allows for changing the name of the station (as displayed on the sign). The last word, "Station," will always be included. The station name is used both on the image of the station and the title of its menu box, but it's still called a "train station" when carried in inventory.

A steam locomotive will stop at a train station instead of passing by. This will only happen if the game detects a train station when the train is boarded.

Notes

A train station is not needed to use a rail handcar.
