"Highly Attractive"

Magnets are a tool that can be used to mine black sand quickly and more iron ore from one block than a normal pickaxe.

Where Found

Combining black sand with an iron ingot using a metalwork bench (or an electric one) will create a magnet. They can also appear as a bonus from using a gold spade on black sand.

Using

When used for mining, a magnet shows no evidence of wear. It can be used in place of a spade to dig black sand with a single stroke, this is accompanied by a distinctive sound. Used in place of a pickaxe for mining iron ore, in a single stroke it converts the block from iron ore to plain stone, leaves it in place, and produces five (5) pieces of ore instead of the normal three (3). Due to the nature of the process, it cannot be combined with a gem pickaxe's multiplier.

If a block iron ore is damaged, but not destroyed, and a magnet is used on it, the resulting block of stone has the same amount of wear as the block of iron ore it was created from.

Crafting

Magnets are required to create an electric motor on either version of a metalwork bench.
