Yaks are a species of passive creatures introduced in version 1.7. They are a source of several new items used as ingredient for the new tools and blocks introduced in 1.7. A yak's preferred food is wheat.
Appearance
Yaks are large animals that are brown colored and have horns on their head. They can be shaved, which will make them shaved, leaving only the hooves and the head still furry.
Baby yaks appear smaller in size, the head however is almost the same size as the adult ones.
Where Found
Yaks randomly appear near wheat stalks. Baby yaks may spawn near adult yaks that are old enough or bred.
Behavior
Yaks are calm animals that will not run when a blockhead approaches it. It will not fight back when being attacked, only flee. They occasionally make a grunting noise.
Hunger
