Kelp is a form of seaweed and also a renewable resource that can be used for food, farming, and crafting.
Appearance
This organism has a green slender appearance with a long curvy thallus and leaf-like blades. They are permanently anchored to the sea floor, can grow up to the surface of the water, and sway to otherwise unnoticeable currents.
Where Found
Kelp typically grows in temperate to equatorial coastal waters that do not see seasonal freezing in the winter. They can be found in water up to at least fifteen (15) blocks deep, and have been seen spawning on bare, underwater stone.
Crafting
Kelp is the only ingredient in crafting compost and can be done at the craft bench.
Farming
