Creating a portal chest in a world requires an expenditure of one amethyst, one sapphire, one emerald, one ruby, one diamond, one golden chest, one stone, and 500 time crystals total. (The gems and 300TC for portal upgrades, then the stone and 100TC for a portal to combine with the golden chest and 100TC for the portal chest.) Considering the size of a world in The Blockheads, only rarer or unique resources may be worth the effort of importing them from another. --McClaw (talk) 22:19, 21 March 2014 (MDT)

When using Multiplayer to transfer materials between devices, it's important to remember that you can't use a portal chest placed by another player (even if it's you playing both games). It might be possible to use a portal chest that was picked up from a shelf or chest, as which player's blockhead does the placing decides a portal chest's owner. Also remember that the "sending" and "receiving" portal chests must be accessed on the same device and thus by the same player; the transfer occurs while the items are outside any portal chest. --McClaw (talk) 20:39, 14 February 2017 (MST)
