A geyser would be a fountain spawned during world generation. It would necessarily include water underneath it and gaps for the water to return there. The trick would be setting it up so the fountain runs out of water before enough returns, resulting in a pulsing spray. :This is an interesting thought; the information you presented is accurate, but i do have a question:
If the geysers/fountains varied in height, then the force of the fountain would have to correspond with it. Not only that, but the amount of water needed to keep the fountain or geyser would have to vary as well; the water quantity needs to be balanced precisely with the rate at which the water sprays out as opposed to drains in. Also, these fountains would not be able to function at or exceeding a certain altitude, for the water would freeze over. And for the underground spring idea i had previously, the water would have to be at an elevated temerature, though the water would be "pure". This means that entering one could either harm or heal you, depending on the developer's/programmer's preference, and drinking it would have the same effect as well. Also, some forms of life could be present around these springs too. My question is, collectively, from what each of us have stated, would this theory make sense?
Thank you, | |||
