Death will occur if a blockhead's death bar runs out completely, which can only occur if its health bar has completely depleted first. When a blockhead dies, it will drop between zero and five items. This may include a basket with its contents. The remainder of the blockhead's inventory will be retained and kept through regeneration.

Causes
Causes of death can be any event that can cause a blockhead to lose health, including but not limited to cold temperatures, drowning, or dropbear attacks.
Freezing
If your blockhead is wearing unsuitable clothing it may freeze when exposed to cold areas such the north or south pole. Wearing items of fur clothing can prevent this.
Drowning
If your blockhead is submerged in water for a certain amount of time, a blue bar will appear with a bubble next to it. This is how much air your blockhead has, and over time it will decrease. When the bar is completely red, your blockhead's health will slowly decrease. Swimming to the surface of the water will fill the blue bar and stop your blockhead's health from going down. If your blockhead's health is all the way down, it will start to die.
