Using an axe is faster than if using bare hands and will produce a larger yield of resources. All axes, when used, will slowly degrade over time, and will eventually be destroyed.

Axes are [[Crafting|crafted]] at the [[Tool Bench|tool bench]]. They have increasing durability based on the material being used to craft the axe. For an increase in quality, a Blockhead will need to upgrade the [[Tool Bench|tool bench]] to the appropriate level before crafting the desired axe.

The amount of use of an axe before being destroyed is related to the quality of axe, materials used, and the item being cut. The higher the quality of material, the more uses a Blockhead will get from an axe.
