A gear symbol is a symbol that you see when your Blockhead is "finding" a way two a location.
Appearance
The gear symbol looks like two gears turning, one bigger than the other, in unison.
Trivia
Normally you don't see the gear symbol because you don't need to make big trips. If you are making a big one, then you will probably see the symbol above your head.
Bugs
Sometimes, when you travel long distances, the gear symbol will suddenly disappear and your selection box will disappear also, resulting in staying in your spot.
