| Prior to [[Game updates/20131010|version 1.4]], the metalwork bench only had one level, having the appearance of what is now the level 2 metalwork bench. It could only craft the metal [[block]]s, [[safe]]s, [[Iron Door|iron doors]], and [[Iron Trapdoor|iron trapdoors]].

| In [[Game updates/20131010|version 1.4]], level 2 was added, moving safes, iron doors/trapdoors, and steel/gold blocks into level 2. Tin buckets and magnets were added to level 1. Iron pots, display cabinets, steel lanterns, copper boilers, copper wires, electric motors, steam engines, and silicon wafers were added to level 2.
