Sandstone is a stone variant. It changes its appearance after it is first harvested.

Where Found

Sandstone is not common, usually appearing as part of a curved line of intruding material and typically adjacent to limestone that is near sand. It can also be found as part of floating islands, particularly those which feature sand.

Crafting

A builder's bench can be used to create sandstone columns and stairs.

Uses

Like most blocks, sandstone can be used in construction.

Mining sandstone with a gold pickaxe may produce a bonus of a gold nugget at rate about 25 nuggets per pickaxe, or about a 5% chance per stroke (the same rate as the rate for the more variable bonuses produced mining ordinary stone).
