Portal chests are a light blue version of a chest, similarly to a golden chest, which are yellow versions of a normal chest.
Where Found

|
A portal chest cannot be crafted with an upgraded portal.
Using
Placing an item inside a portal chest will earn the player the achievement "Portal Chest."
All worlds accessed on the same device share the same storage spaces and contents, both single and multiplayer worlds. Placing an item in one makes it accessible from all others. This not only allows a Blockhead to work with the same items in different locations within a world, but also for the player to transfer items from one world to another.
