Currency is the items in the game that can be used to buy other items in a shop or sell and buy items at a trade portal. These are copper coins, gold coins, and platinum coins.
The three types of coins are able to be exchanged for each other at a 1:100 ratio in either direction. A platinum coin is worth 100 gold coins, while a gold coin is worth 100 copper coins. This can be done through a portal or at a trade portal.
All three currencies can be found in golden chests. At a furnace, gold and copper ingots can be smelted into and from ten of the respective coin. Platinum ingots can be crafted into and from one platinum coin.
