Vines are a type of introduced in version 1.6.
Appearance
A tangle of green strands with occasional bulges suggesting leaves. Vines will extend downward in a continuous ribbon.
They exist across the front of solid blocks. Blockheads move behind them, much like columns and signs.
Where Found
Vines are found mainly on floating islands. They can also be obtained via a level 2 trade portal or by meditating blockheads.
Usage
Mainly for decoration or for selling through a trade portal.
Farming
Vines can be placed on any block and will grow if there is space below them. They can be harvested by hand or a machete which triples the drop obtained. Vines may stop growing when they meet a block below them (ignoring back walls).
Notes
Vines do not act like ladders.
