The south pole is a snowy, icy part of the world marked by a blue and white striped pole extending 16 blocks up and down to bedrock. Reaching this landmark earns the player the "South Pole" achievement. It is extremely cold here so bring ways to keep warm or your blockhead will freeze.
Near the south pole, celestial objects move left in the sky.
The pole itself is made of backwall blocks and can have oil lanterns, ladders, or other blocks placed on it.
