Cacti in a desert

Deserts are surface areas consisting primarily of sand blocks instead of dirt. They should not to be confused with beaches, which are surface sand (often overlaying or underlying dirt) near (and under) large bodies of water.

Deserts almost always have clear skies, rarely ever becoming overcast or rainy. This makes deserts an ideal place for solar panels to be placed, as they will get the maximum amount of sunlight. It also increases the chance of a blockhead overheating and putting out smoke unless they're protected.

While they're both associated with sand, neither black sand nor golden chests seem common in deserts.
