Appearance

Sapphires are blue, small and square in appearance, shaped similar to rubies. They distinctively radiant with a slight blue luminescence under the lack of direct sunlight.

Where Found

Sapphires are naturally found in the cavernous networks and underground regions of the world. They are typically surrounded by hard rock, such as stone. Rarely but occasionally, they can be found underwater in a subterranean confined or perched aquifer. They may be purchased from a level 2 trade portal. They can also be found in a golden chest, received from meditation, or growing on a gem tree.

Portal Upgrade

Sapphires are needed to upgrade a portal to a sapphire (level 3) portal, allowing a blockhead to craft an sapphire pickaxe.
