Where Found

Emeralds are naturally found in the cavernous networks and underground regions of the world. They are typically surrounded by hard rock, such as stone. Rarely but occasionally, they can be found underwater in a subterranean confined or perched aquifer. They may be purchased from a level 4 trade portal. They can also be found in a golden chest, received from meditation, or growing on a gem tree.

Portal Upgrade

Emeralds are needed to upgrade a portal to an emerald (level 4) portal, allowing a blockhead to craft an emerald pickaxe.
