A blockhead meditating

Meditation is an activity that allows a blockhead to remain somewhat productive even while idle at little risk of running low on attributes. Meditation is not possible on survival worlds with Expert Mode enabled. In custom worlds, administrators can choose to enable or disable mediation.

How To

A blockhead can meditate at any time that it isn't busy with another task and is standing on a solid block.

To set the current blockhead to meditate, tap its character status icon to bring up its character status window. If it is able to meditate, a "Meditate" button will be visible on the lower left. Tapping it causes that blockhead to sit in a cross-legged ("lotus") position and display a status window above it.

The status window shows a "stop" button and a meditation bar indicating the blockhead's progress towards its next bonus.

Effects

Meditating is useful for getting the world to change from night to day. When playing with multiple blockheads, time cannot fast forward unless all blockheads are sleeping or meditating.

When all blockheads in a world are either meditating or sleeping, time passes quickly in the surrounding world. This acceleration is approximately twenty times faster. The effect slows or even stops if no player has the world open.

It takes about 15 minutes of real time for the meditation bar displayed over the blockhead to fill completely. If all blockheads in a world are mediating or sleeping, about 20 game days will pass while a mediation bar goes from empty to full. If at least one blockhead remains active, it takes about one game day for an empty mediation bar to fill.

If a blockhead is hurt during meditation, they will stop meditating.

A blockhead's energy and hunger are not depleted during meditation. The meditating blockhead's Environment Bar may also improve. A blockhead can also eat without interrupting the meditation.

Bonuses

This section needs cleanup. You can learn how at the how to help page. [discuss]
Please help improve this page. The talk page may contain suggestions.
Reason: The Meditation bonuses should be moved into a collapsible table rather than a list.

Each time the mediation progress bar fills, a blockhead receives one to three items. A blockhead will not pick up any spawned items until meditation is stopped.
