Sand is an alternate block to dirt for the surface of the world.
Appearance
Sand is a mottled yellow color.
Where Found
A Blockhead can find sand in desert biomes or beaches adjacent to and/or underneath some bodies of water. Small deposits can be found almost anywhere above bedrock.
Gathering
It's best harvested using a spade, although there is no loss associated with using anything else. A gold spade will produce occasional bonuses.
Crafting
Sand can be processed in a kiln or electric kiln to make glass.
|
|
Sand can also be smelted with black sand in an electric furnace to make a silicon ingot.

Notes
Like most blocks, sand remains where it's placed even if all support under it is removed.
