Oil Lanterns are an improved source of light. They are brighter than torches but dimmer than steel lanterns. Oil lanterns give off about 20 blocks of light, including the block the lantern is placed on. Just like basic torches and steel lanterns, they do not light nearby flammable blocks on fire.
Appearance
Oil lanterns appear as a gray oval with a yellow square in the middle.
Where Found
Oil lanterns can be made using a kiln with one clay and one oil, producing two lanterns.
