Tulip seeds were introduced in version 1.6.

Appearance

They are small, light brown, mostly round objects with a slight point on one end.

Where Found

Tulip seeds are produced from harvesting a flowering tulip. Typically only one seed is produced per plant, even with a favored tool.

Farming

Tulip seeds are random products of tulips that grow seasonally and are harvested by hand, machete, or spade. Agriculturally, the seeds can be placed in a block of dirt, sand, or compost to grow a tulip for farming additional bulbs and seeds. See tulip for more harvesting details.

Uses

Tulip seeds can be used for farming purposes and for decoration but cannot be consumed. Tulip seeds may grow into a somewhat different tulip than the one it was harvested from, with the effects of mutation and cross-breeding playing a role.

Crafting

Five tulip seeds can be used to craft compost at a compost bin from version 1.6 onwards.
