The north pole is a snowy, icy part of the world marked by a red and white striped pole extending 16 blocks into the air and down to bedrock. Reaching this landmark earns the player the "North Pole" achievement.
Near the north pole, celestial objects move right in the sky.
The pole itself is made of backwall blocks and can have oil lanterns, ladders, or other blocks placed on it.
