Oil Lanterns are an improved source of light. They are brighter than torches but dimmer than steel lanterns. Oil lanterns give off about 20 blocks of light, including the block the lantern is placed on.
Appearance
Oil lanterns appear as a beige oval with a yellow square in the middle.
Where Found
Oil lanterns can be made using a kiln with one clay and one oil, producing two lanterns.

Uses
It can be placed on any background (back wall) block or on or next to another block. It will not stay in place if in contact with water.
