Mango Tree: Difference between revisions

Mango trees are one of several [[Fruit|fruit]]-bearing [[Tree|trees]] that can be found growing on [[Dirt|dirt]] or planted in [[Compost|compost]].

Mango trees have brown vertical grained trunks and green [[Leaves|leaves]]. Unlike some [[Tree|trees]] , as the seasons change, the color of the leaves will not change to reflect the appropriate season. Some trunk blocks will have leaves overlaying them, but they are still part of the trunk. There may be [[Mango|mangoes]] hanging upon the leaves.

Mango trees occasionally will bear mangoes from its leaves. Mangoes, if in season, are harvested by hand and can be collected by passing through their space or when adjacent to the mango after it was tapped on. They do not require nor do they benefit from using any particular [[Items#Tools|tools]]. Agriculturally, the fruit can be placed in a block of [[Dirt|dirt]] or [[Compost|compost]] to grow a mango tree for farming additional mangoes or can be eaten to replenish a [[Blockhead|Blockhead's]] [[Hunger Bar|Hunger]] and [[Health Bar|Health]] bars.

[[Stick]]s may be harvested from the tree's leaves. Using a [[Machete|machete]] will produce quicker results with a larger yield than by hand.

[[Wood]] may be also harvested from the tree's trunk. Doing so will despawn any leaves or trunk blocks on the same layer or above. For harvesting wood, using an [[Axe|axe]] will produce quicker results and a larger yield than by hand.

[[Farming|Planting]] a mango in [[Dirt|dirt]] or [[Compost|compost]] will grow a mango tree. The tree will need to mature before it begins producing mangoes.
